After going Bi-Coastal at FLAME CON in Brooklyn this last weekend, PRISM COMICS is thrilled to be exhibiting at the first annual

PRISM COMICS and GEEK PRIDE ENTERTAINMENT will be hosting “LGBT CENTRAL” at BOOTH 611. Geek Pride will be celebrating cosplay and LGBTQ Geek Culture. And Prism will feature an excellent selection of LGBTQ comics and graphic novels including ALPHABET, the new full-color anthology of LGBTQ comics. Prism will also be selling “Homo Superior” mugs and tote bags to support the Prism Comics Queer Press Grant – one of the only annual financial grants in the comics industry to support aspiring independent comics creators.

Comic Con Palm Springs is bringing together some of the most passionate and talented people from the world of comic books and entertainment to produce an exciting new comic con in one of the most famous, fun and queer cities in the world. Special Con Guests include Stan Lee and Phil Jimenez. Prism will be featuring signings by comics creators including Jeff Krell, creator of Jayson comics, and Sonya Saturday (2016 Republican Presidential Candidates Coloring Book)

And Geek Pride will be presenting two panels –

Saturday, August 27, 5 – 6 pm – The LGBT Cosplayer!

Join moderator Chris Riley along with our guests as they discuss the hot topic issues that face their community today, such as the battle between Hyper sexuality vs. Conservatism in Cosplay, “Coming Out” in the Eye of Social Media, Overcoming Prejudice & Adversity, and the perception of LGBT cosplayers on the convention circuit, and more! Featuring Chris Riley, Cathy Kutz, Michelle LaBelle, Kaylee Diamond and Skitz_Cosplay

Sunday, August 28, 3 – 4 pm – LGBT Geek Community Organizations
Mesquite Room E, Palm Springs Convention Center

Sulu is gay in Star Trek? Captain Phasma is a lesbian in Star Wars? This panel highlights the standout LGBT characters in pop culture as well as hot topic issues. Join the leaders and representatives from LGBT Geek Organizations discussing their service to the community, upcoming events & projects, and how you can get involved. Moderated by Sonya Saturday.

Prism and Geek Pride will also be participating in two fun parties at CHILL BAR in downtown Palm Springs on Friday and Saturday nights. Come out for more Geek Fun!
