Eisner Nominee Kris Dresen will debut gone! as an offering from new publishing imprint, Outlines Press. Dresen will premiere gone! at the 2011 New York Comic-Con taking place from October 13th to the 16th.

“This work really had me pushing myself in terms of storytelling and visuals,” says Dresen. “Could I tell an intriguing story with minimal text and cryptic imagery? I leave a lot for the readers to take away and interpret for themselves.”

gone! introduces the first book-length use of Dresen’s lush pencil work. “I’m known for my ink work. Pencil allows me to push my drawing techniques into another realm and really invigorates my work moving forward.” Dresen will appear and sign copies of gone! all during Comic-Con at the Prism Comics booth.

Outlines, the publishing venture that’s produced gone!, features work by Dresen, Lambda Lit Finalist JD Glass (CORE) as well as Golden Crown Finalist Susan Smith (The Charioteer; 2012), plus Lambda Lit Winner Georgia Beers (Balance; 2012), Andi Marquette, and Susan X Meagher. Projects include complete single books and serialized stories, as well as anthologies.
