Prism Comics is pleased to announce The Prism Comics Rainbow Book Club. The Book Club is for anyone in the Los Angeles area who likes reading comics and graphic novels. Each month we’ll read a new comic or graphic novel that was written by a queer author and/or has queer characters in it. Then we’ll meet up to discuss the book, have coffee, and mingle at

Our first meeting will be a “get-to-know-you” session where we’ll vote on the first book. Subsequent meetings will be on the second Sunday of each month. The group is for people ages 16 and up from all backgrounds and all orientations. Free parking is available on the street or in the Risky Business parking lot till 5 pm at 10437 Burbank Blvd, North Hollywood, CA 91601.

Members will choose the books they’d like to read. Books and comics we’re considering include Fun Home or Spent by Alison Bechdel; Charity and Sylvia or On A Sunbeam by Tillie Walden; Nimona by ND Stevenson; The Deep Dark by Lee Knox Ostertag; Gender Queer by Maia Kobabe; Legend of Korra comics; Hollow by Shannon Watters; and more. Depending on the book, Prism Comics may be able to assist in getting discounts on physical copies for Book Club members (mailing is extra).
